Web module - How to test a user's LDAP/AD credential for web login

When a user cannot log in, it's useful to be able to test the user's credential.

PassagePoint allows a user to test credentials against the settings via the "Configured Authentication Rules"

On a passagepoint client, Log in as an Admin user

1) First check what role the web module is using




2) Check what authentication method the Web Role is using




3)  Edit the Authentication Rule. In this example is "ldap"





4) Finally, Have the user test the username/password. 




A successful test will give you 



If a failure occurs:




To troubleshoot, review client.log on the client workstation you are testing the login from.

in this example, it is a bad username/password
