How to Install the and Configure the LX 500

Download the driver package from the Primera website below.

  1. Right click the application and run as an administrator.
  2. Once the installation is finish run the printer hub and calibrate the printer. Once the printer has been calibrated perform the steps below.
  3. Navigate to Windows Control Panel > devices and printers > right click and select Printer Properties > Security Tab.
  4. In the security tab check Manage this Printers and Manage Documents 
  5. Navigate to the Advance Tab > Printing Defaults > select your orientation > Advance > select your paper size and make changes if necessary
  6. Navigate to the General Tab and check to make sure the Preferences also match the changes you just made.
  7. Before adding the Printer to PassagePoint the Primera printer folder will also need full rights.
  8. The Primera folder is a hidden folder, so hidden items will need to be enabled before we can make the change

  10. Navigate to the C:\ drive, ‘Program Data’ will now be visible. > Open ‘Program Data’ and right click the ‘PTI’ folder and select properties. 9. Select ‘Security’ > Select ‘Edit’ > Select ‘Full Control’
  11.  Log into PassagePoint > Navigate to Home > Station Preferences > click on the installed printer > Edit > Select Printer > Properties > Advance and make the same changes here. Now test print.
