How to Install and Configure the Dymo 550

NOTE: Using the forward button to send a label and attempt to retract it, the counter will continue counting. Therefore, it's advisable to refrain from manually feeding labels unnecessarily.

Download the driver package from: https://downloads.stopware.com/updates/files/dymo550.zip

1. Unzip the ‘dymo550’ 

2. Right click the “DCDSetup1.4.3.131.exe” and run as an administrator.

Give rights to the printer for everyone in windows:

1. Navigate to control panel > devices and printers > right click your printer select printer properties

2. Select security > select everyone >> check manage this printer > check manage documents > click apply and ok
   

Under windows 11

To add the printer:

1. Log in to PassagePoint

2. Navigate to home >> station preferences > click add at the bottom right > select badge printers > click next > uncheck ‘Enhance Gray Scale’ > click 'select printer...' > select the printer from the list

3. Select the orientation

4. Select the Paper Size

5. Click ‘OK’ when finished.

To adjust the brightness:

1. Navigate to Home > station preferences > change 'Badge Photo Brightness' to 30

2. Exit PassagePoint and log back in

3. Test print again, update the brightness as needed.
