How to install and configure the CR2701/CR2702

DO NOT PLUG IN THE BASE. 

1. Download the vcom driver from https://downloads.stopware.com/updates/codereader/vcom.zip

2. Extract the vcom driver

3. Right click "VCOMInstall_v2.5.0.0.exe" and run as administrator 

1. Click "Next"

2. Click "I accept..."

3. Click "Install"

4. Click "Finish"

4. Plug in the base: 

1. under devices and printers you should now see a device labeled "A271".

2. Navigate to Windows Device manager expand Ports (Com & LPT)

1.  “USB to Virtual COM Port” will now be available. 

1. NOTE: The COM Port will vary from system to system and will not always be on COM Port 3.

5. Scan the QR CODE barcode on the front of the base. 

6. Scan the barcode below

8. Scan the QR CODE barcode on the front of the base.

9. Log in to PassagePoint with admin

10. Navigate to Home > Station Preferences > In the bottom right hand corner >> Click "Add" 

11. Select "Barcode Scanners" >> Click "Next" 

12. Give the Barcode Scanner a Name

13. Select the com port from from the Serial port dropdown

14. Select Baud Rate “115200”
