By default, a patient can be searched only by first name, last name

As of 6425, support for 3 additional search fields on the PassagePoint desktop client added., which would allow the searching for other fields like MRN, preferred name, middle name.....etc

Here is a high level overview of the configuration and how to use

1) Enable Search fields via the screen policy (see page 3 of specs)

2) create an ‘Action’ rule against each Search Field in PassagePoint ‘HL7 Integration’ configuration. This maps the HL7 field to the search field. (see page 3 of specs)

In the Rapid Reg, Host section, notice the new "Patient Search" button

Clicking the search button will yield the following screen and allow searching by the new fields.
